The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak has said Israel has the right to defend itself against Hamas terrorists in the ongoing war.
Sunak made the remark while describing the attack by Hamas terrorists against Israel as cowardly.
This was as he expressed solidarity with Israel amid the ongoing war.
In a post on his verified X, Sunak wrote: “As the barbarity of today’s atrocities becomes clearer, we stand unequivocally with Israel.
“This attack by Hamas is cowardly and depraved.
“We have expressed our full solidarity to @netanyahu and will work with international partners in the next 24 hours to co-ordinate support.
“I am shocked by this morning’s attacks by Hamas terrorists against Israeli citizens.
“Israel has an absolute right to defend itself.
“We’re in contact with Israeli authorities, and British nationals in Israel should follow travel advice.”
