The Kano State House of Assembly has received the 2023 proposed supplementary budget of over N58 billion from the State governor, Abba Yusuf.
The supplementary budget was received during a plenary session presided by the Speaker.
The Speaker pointed out that the executive is seeking the approval of the House in line with sections 121 (a) and (b) of the 1999 constitution.
He explained that the state government highlighted that the 2023 proposed supplementary budget becomes necessary to sharpen the government’s focus to deliver its objectives by accelerating the execution of priority projects.
